CCI4EU

The CCI4EU (Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for EU) project aims to help the participating Member States to establish a nationwide cancer network where all patients have access to European standards of excellence in cancer prevention, comprehensive cancer care and drug research, including by ensuring training opportunities for specialists and sustainability of research.

Estonia’s main role is to participate in deep dive interventions, which are structured interventions aimed at helping the comprehensive cancer infrastructure to build its capacity in specific areas. In Estonia, these areas have been selected as the establishment of a nationwide cancer infrastructure, capacity building in research and the development of nationwide cancer care pathways. During the deep dive, a multidisciplinary team of international experts will visit the country to map the current situation, design the interventions that the country is trying to implement, and finally review the impact of the interventions and make recommendations for the way forward.
