Estonian Cancer Control Plan

The Estonian Cancer Network bases its activities on the objectives set out in the Estonian Cancer Control Plan 2021-2030.

More than 100 Estonian experts: doctors, nurses, patient representatives, and researchers participated in the preparation of the Estonian Cancer Control Plan 2021-2030. The Plan describes the progress and shortcomings of cancer care in Estonia so far and sets priorities for the future: how to meet the challenges facing cancer care and the health system, how to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient, and how to support patients and their loved ones on their cancer journey.

Cancer control has three major goals:

  1. To reduce the number of people with cancer in Estonia
  1. People live longer and healthier lives after a cancer diagnosis.
